Former Judge Premier League Dermot Gallagher Rates the controversial moments from the Scottish Premiership for the weekend, including Rangers Mohamed Diomande and incidents, including Kilmarnock, Hearts, Hibs, Ross County, St Johnstone and Motherwell.
Dundee United 1-3 Rangers
Incident: Rangers shrinked to 10 players in Dundee United. Mohamed Diamonde got a red color after the incident with Kevin Holt.
The judge was asked to look at him once more and stayed at his original decision, but was it enough for a direct red card? The head of Rangers Philippe Clement has already said that they would complain.
Dermot says: “I was surprised that the red card came out, and I was still surprised when the judge was sent to the screen that he remained at his original decision.
“This proves that all options are available if you go to the screen.
“Pushed him twice, then raises his hands? Does it connect with your face? Does he think he connects to his face?
“Another thing to remember, according to the law, is it brutal or malicious? This is not considered.”
Sue Smith says: “It's never a red card.
“I watched that from different angles and I just can't see how it's a red card.
“Diomanda is pushed and moving away from Kevin Holt. He doesn't connect with him at all.
“It was a real shock decision, especially after the referee went out in front of the screen.”
Stephen Warnock says: “I still try to figure out what he saw!
“It's a really bad decision and it will be interesting to see what the consequences are and what is his explanation.”
Incident: In Dundee United heard shouts for rangers pennal for playing by Hand by Declan Gallagher.
Dermot says: “I'm glad that's not given because I don't think he was a penalty.
“The player has a lifted hand, he descends her, the ball is rejected as he descends his hand and she hits him in his hand.
“I think you have to be very careful when assigning penalties for something like that.”
St Johnstone 2-1 Motherwell
Incident: The penalty is awarded for Motherwell against St Johnstone after the variment to play with a handful Sven Sprangler.
Dermot says: “No comparison with Rangers' penalties. He hit the ball here. “
Ross County 1-1 Hibs
Incident: Ross County against Hibernian and Penal for Ross County due to the game by hand Nicky Cadden. Is this a little rough?
Dermot says: “Here is the hand outstretched.
“With Rangers' appeal, the hand returns down, but with Cadden is out.”
Hearts 3-2 Kilmarnock
Incident: Coach Kilmarnock, Derek McInnes, was very dissatisfied with the introductory goal of Hearts.
He believed that Elton Kabangu was to offside.
Would this be checked?
Dermot says: “He was in offside position, but the ball goes to the attacker.
“Maybe he felt he interfered with the defender, but I think it's the other way around. The defensive player interferes with the attacker.
“It starts at offside position, but not going behind the ball. He wasn't active and didn't go towards the opponent. His opponent headed for him.”
