Celtic predicted line-up against Dundee United

Celtic are looking to continue their outstanding recent form when they visit Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

After winning the Scottish League Cup final against Old Firm opponents Rangers last weekend, Celtic can secure an eighth straight league win at Tannadice. They have won 14 of their 15 outings in the Scottish Premiership this season, going into their 16th game with a stunning +40 goal difference.

The Glasgow giants are flying clear at the top of the league as they aim to win their 55th top-flight title and must secure another win against mid-table Dundee United on Sunday lunchtime.

Here's how Celtic could line up for their clash with the Mandarins.

GK: Kasper Schmeichel – The Denmark international made the decisive save in last weekend's penalty as Celtic claimed their first piece of silverware of the 2024/25 season. It certainly won't be their last, with Schmeichel having been integral to their success.

RB: Anthony Ralston – Alistair Johnston is a major doubt for the trip to Tannadice after struggling with injuries in recent games. Ralston will deputize for the Canadian international if he is not fit.

CB: Cameron Carter-Vickers – The imposing American has kept clean sheets in his last two league appearances and will relish his chances of another on Sunday. Celtic have conceded just four in the Premiership the whole term.

CB: Auston Trusty – The United States' centre-back partnership was put to the test by Rangers in the final, with Trusty replaced at half-time by Brendan Rodgers. He should retain his place ahead of Liam Scales at Tannadice.

LB: Greg Taylor – Taylor scored last weekend en route to victory in the showpiece event for the Hoops, with his attacking quality on full display in the league as well. He has provided four assists in the Premiership.

CM: Paulo Bernardo – Bernardo has struggled to get back into the starting line-up in recent weeks despite stiff competition. He was preferred to Arne Engels against Rangersalthough he has started less than half of Celtic's league games.

CM: Callum McGregor – The beating heart of Celtic's impressive midfield, the 31-year-old remains vital to their success. The Hoops legend will make his 489th Celtic appearance against Dundee United.

CM: Reo Hatate – Hatate did not have his best Celtic performance in the Scottish League Cup final but he will be eager to add to his four league goals for the season on Sunday. He has featured in every Premiership game this season.

RW: Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn – The German has been a revelation since arriving from Rapid Wien last January, consistently shining in the green and white. Five goals and six assists in 13 league games says enough.

ST: Kyogo Furuhashi – The quick, diminutive striker failed to extend his impressive goalscoring record against Rangers last time out. He has scored just two goals in his last nine appearances but will undoubtedly cause problems for the Mandarins.

LW: Daizen Maeda – Celtic's number 38 was another on the scoresheet last weekend and he will be keen to maintain that form on Sunday. He has managed just two of his side's 44 goals in the Premiership, although he has provided three assists.
