Real Madrid close out 2024 on Sunday afternoon as they welcome Sevilla to the Spanish capital in La Liga.
It's been a great week for Los Blancos heading into the weekend's game as they were crowned world champions once again after a 3-0 victory over the Mexican team Pachuca in the final of the Intercontinental Cup.
The night before, Vinicius Junior was was crowned FIFA Men's Player of the Year to somehow atone for his denial of the Ballon d'Or.
The visitors have endured a mixed start to the season so far, but it's worth remembering that they ended 2023/24 in 14th place after losing their final four games of the season. Manager Garcia Pimienta has Catalan roots and he will be keen to do his former employers a favor this weekend.
Here it is 90 minutes game preview.

Real Madrid are once again without Vini Jr, who misses Sunday not because of injury, but because of suspension. The Brazilian picked up his fifth yellow card of the La Liga season last weekend at Rayo Vallecano.
However, Madrid welcomed back Kylian Mbappe in midweek, and the Frenchman should be fit to start again on Sunday.
Ferland Mendy could also be in contention to return to Ancelotti's matchday squad, but the hosts are still without long-term absentees Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and David Alaba.
Real Madrid predicted formation against Sevilla (4-3-3): polite; Vazquez, Tchouameni, Rudiger, Garcia; Valverde, Camavinga, Bellingham; Guler, Mbappe, Rodrygo.
Sevilla are unlikely to welcome back any of their injured stars for the final game of 2024.
Djibril Sow, Adria Pedrosa, Chidera Ejuke, Rafa Mir and Tanguy Nianzou are set to miss the trip to the capital.
Dodi Lukebakio has been Sevilla's main man this season and he will continue on the right, while Isaac Romero could return to the starting line-up and lead the visitors' front line. 20-year-old Manu Bueno was the match-winner against Celta and is set to earn another start this weekend.
Jesus Navas is preparing for his 943rd and final senior appearance on Sunday before his mid-season retirement.
Sevilla predicted formation against Real Madrid (4-3-3): Fernandez; Montiel, Bade, Gudelj, Salas; Well, Agoume, Saul; Navas, Romero, Lukebakio.
Sevilla only recently gave a good account of themselves away Atletico Madrid before conceding losses in the latter stages, and they will be looking to take advantage of a Madrid side that could be a little worse for wear after their recent ventures in Qatar.
We shouldn't expect the hosts to perform at their best here, but they have at least shown signs of life in recent weeks with Mbappe starting to snort.
The visitors haven't exactly had the most exciting hours of the season and they lack the necessary firepower to damage a defensive structure that is admittedly penetrable. This could be a Madrid win that doesn't require a shift from second gear.
