John Parry claimed his first DP World Tour win in 14 years as he fired a final round 64 to secure the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open title at Mont Choisy Le Golf.
The 38-year-old Englishman sank an eagle and four birdies on the back nine to post a winning score of 14 under par, two clear of South African pair Dylan Naidoo and Christo Lamprecht in second place.
Parry started the final round five shots back, but his birdie blitz on the back nine moved him to joint leader Naidoo, who capped his week with a 71 on Sunday.
Naidoo began his final round with three bogeys in his first four holes before recovering to sink four birdies, although by then he was too far behind.
England's Eddie Pepperell also had a share of the lead going into the final round, seeking his first win since 2018, but his challenge faded after a double bogey on the par five, a two-over 74 eventually saw him tied for ninth.
Parry's previous win on the elite European circuit was at the Vivendi Cup in 2010, but he has three wins on the Challenge Tour this year.
“It's huge (to win), five or six years ago I was close to giving up golf,” Parry said. “It's been a long fight, but it's worth it.”
