Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Posticolo insists his form in Sunday's 6-3 Premier League home defeat by Liverpool cannot change.
Despite scoring two more goals than the leaders, Spurs are 11th in the table and eight points adrift of fourth place, having picked up a point from their last four home games.
“I think I've been really patient over the last 18 months, answering that question over and over again,” Postecoglou said in response to the suggestion that his team could adopt less cavalier tactics.
“If people want me to change my approach, I won't. We're doing it for a reason because we think it's going to help us succeed.”

Tottenham and Liverpool 'a bridge too far'
Tottenham's results this season have seen them lose 3-2 against Brighton and Hove Albion, lose 4-3 at home to Chelsea and lose both games 2-0 at home to Chelsea.
Postecoglou was without 10 players due to injury and illness, but they were beaten 5-1 at one time by the leaders.
“It's a bridge too far for us, you can tell we're a little bit less competitive with[Liverpool],” Postecoglou said.
“If people don't understand the situation we're in right now as a team and the challenges as a team, people think we should flip the switch and change, and that's going to make us one way or the other.” It's different. But that's it – I'm just going to focus on trying to build this team to be the team that I want to be.

“We have to accept that there will be challenges in the interim. who knows? (Some fans) can really understand our situation right now.
“It seems that many don't. I hope they see what we're trying to do and where we're at, what they're trying to build here. Because I really believe this will give the fans and the team what they want. But that's who they are.”
Postecoglou: 'To judge others'
Postecoglou stressed that the supporters' backing was “crucial” and was coy when asked about his position.
“We have shorter changes than any team we've played so far, whether here or in Europe,” he said. “I couldn't get breaks or rotate players.
“(11) If you say, 'I'm not doing a good job, I must be somehow uncomfortable, that's for others to judge.'”
