Ruben Amorim has questioned the “choices” of players in Marcus Rashford's camp, amid speculation that the striker's future at Old Trafford has intensified.
The Manchester United manager questioned the decision of those close to Rashford, who journalist Henry Winter, 27, said he was “ready for a new challenge”.
The England international made the comments after being dropped from the squad for the 2-1 win over rivals Manchester City on December 15.
Rashford was forced out of United's 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat by Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday's 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Amorim's side are currently 13th in the Premier League table as it remains uncertain whether Rashford will remain a Manchester United player in January.
“It's a difficult situation,” Amorim told Sky Sports.
“These players understand that they have a lot around them,” he said. It makes choices that are not the first thought from the player.
“They chose to interview because it wasn't just Marcus.”
However, Portuguese boss Klopp said he was still focused on his relationship with his player, adding that it was for Rashford and the club to “deal with it when the time is right”.
Amorim said: “Right now I'm focusing on improving Marcus.
“We need a man of talent like Marcus. Now forget about the interview and look at what we see on the pitch.”
Rashford made his debut in 2016, scoring 138 goals in 426 appearances for United.
However, he has struggled to perform over the past few seasons and his performances have been criticized by fans and fans alike.
United face Wolves at Molineux on December 26 before hosting Newcastle four days later.
