Finn Balor has been one of WWE's biggest stars for nearly a decade. One wrestling legend believes he could have been more if the company had given him the right character.
WWE and ECW legend Sabu was one of the most unique wrestlers of his era. He played the craziest and most extreme matches in the ring to entertain his brave fans.
Sabu was chosen as a member of the WWE roster, which was watered down by the creative staff as they spoke Covalent. He noted that Finn has a lot of potential, but the company did not give him a platform to bring out everything and prove himself.
“Finn Balor, but then they programmed him to be one of them. Nothing against it. Nothing personal. But he's not the same,” Sabu said.
He added that it is clear that the star has all the potential. However, WWE didn't take full advantage of him and kept him dehydrated.
“I could see when things weren't going right, it didn't bother him. I was the same way. When things weren't going right, that was my best work,” the legend added. (H/T Wrestling Inc.)
Finn Balor was instrumental in the success of Judgment Day on RAW. Prince and JD McDonagh recently lost the World Tag Team Championship to the War Raiders on the most recent episode of RAW.
Sabu hoped to fight WWE star Finn Balor at some point
Many big names would love to face Sabu in their careers. Meanwhile, he wanted to match with the legendary star Judgment Day member.
Sabu mentioned that he watched Balor wrestle in Scotland. He loved the way Balor fought in the ring and wanted to face him, but injuries prevented him.
“I like Finn Balor. I've seen him wrestle in Ireland, no…Scotland a few times, it wasn't long before he became Finn Balor. I always wanted to wrestle him, then he became (Fin) Balor. I really love(d) ( him).He said, 'Sure.' But then it never happened, because I got hurt,” Sabu said.
Many WWE fans are hoping to see Prince get a push on the main roster and potentially another world title shot. However, he did not win the title alone for a long time in the company.
