Wide receiver Cooper Kupp returned to the Los Angeles Rams lineup in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings after missing four games in Week 2 with an ankle injury.
The veteran is expected to be among the wide players Los Angeles Rams (7-6) will be on offense Thursday night when they play the San Francisco 49ers (6-7) on the road.
Both teams know going into the game that they can't afford to lose because it could mean missing the playoffs.

Cooper Cup's availability for Thursday Night Football is under investigation
Cooper coup is dealing with no injury concerns and is expected to start for the Rams on Thursday Night Football at Levi's Stadium.
The eight-season veteran last faced the Niners in 2022, though the Rams have faced San Francisco three more times since then. He wasn't available for Week 2 in 2023 because he was dealing with a hamstring injury and then was forced into a rematch in Week 18 as the Rams opted to rest their starter. When the two sides met earlier this season, Kupp once again missed out with an ankle injury.
Kupp said earlier in the week that he was excited about the prospect of playing against the Niners for the first time in two years.
“You love to compete against this team,” Kupp said at Tuesday's media conference. “It seems like it's always been physical games and when you go against these teams, you get excited. I'm excited to get back out there and be on the field against them.”
While Kupp will suit up tonight, two of his teammates are already out — tight end Tyler Higby (knee) and CB Cobie Durant (chest). The Rams handled the wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (shoulder) and offensive lineman Beaux Limmer (knee) are questionable, along with four other players.
How did Cooper Kupp perform this season?
Cooper Kupp had a strong game last week against the Buffalo Bills, catching five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. After gaining just 77 yards in his previous two games against the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints, his Week 14 showing was a significant turnaround for him.
Kupp has taken a step back in the Rams' offense this season and has clearly served behind the WR2. Puka Nacua in terms of goals. Still, he's caught one or more touchdown passes in three of his last four outings, showing continued effectiveness.
Cooper Kupp caught 63 passes for 657 yards and six touchdowns this season despite missing four games with an ankle injury.
