Jarred Brooks MMA: “The real champion will be shown”

Jarred Brooks takes a fresh approach to his upcoming trilogy match against ONE MMA heavyweight world champion Joshua Pacio.

AN interim MMA world heavyweight champion has said there will be no long promos or trash talk and has only promised to bring the violence when he faces his rival in Qatar.

Brooks will face Pacio for the world title ONE 171 on February 20, 2025 at Lusail Sports Arena: Undisputed ONE MMA world heavyweight title unification match in Qatar.

On Instagram, Brooks wrote that there would be no talk of him, but he promised to leave Doha as the undisputed king of the MMA heavyweight division.

Jarred Brooks wrote:

“Hey guys! The trilogy is happening, the real champion will be revealed on February 20th. 2024 was not my best year. Follow me in 2025, don't just talk about hard work and violence!”

Brooks can claim the gold calendar year, but he still felt his 2024 campaign was bittersweet, to say the least.

'The Monkey God' dropped the ONE MMA world heavyweight title to Pacio at ONE 166, resulting in a disqualification loss after accidentally hitting the Filipino star's head on the canvas.

Brooks returned to the win column with a first-round submission victory over Cuban Olympic wrestler Gustavo Balart to capture the ONE interim MMA world heavyweight title at ONE Fight Night 24. McLaren made his bantamweight debut at ONE Fight Night 26.

Pacio and Brooks now head to the top of their heated rivalry at the same venue where they had their ill-fated rematch earlier this year.

Joshua Pacio says he's the challenger heading into a world title trilogy against Jarred Brooks

Joshua Pacio can keep the goldbut he goes to Qatar with a rival mindset.

The ONE strawweight MMA world champion told The MMA Superfan that he is hungrier than ever to claim sole ownership of the MMA heavyweight throne when he takes on Jarred Brooks at ONE 171 in Qatar.

Pacio had this to say about the upcoming world title match against the ONE MMA Interim Heavyweight Champion:

“They announced me as the champion, now I'm the champion. It's the grace of God that we're still here fighting for the belt. I say we're fighting for the belt because it's the unification, that's why I think. I'm still a contender.”
