Tottenham Hotspur could be without injured left-back Destiny Udogie for up to six weeks, manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed.
The Italian was replaced in the early stages of the Spurs draw 2-2 with Wolves last weekend, adding to a severely depleted backline that has been missing Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies in recent weeks.
Udogie was replaced by Sergio Reguilon, who was made available for tRANSFER in the summer, and now seems set aside for a long time.
“No, unfortunately, no,” Postecoglou told reporters when asked if any of his injured players would be back in action. Newcastle United on Saturday.
“So obviously there's Destiny with these hamstrings, it looks like he's out for about six weeks, obviously we lose (Rodrigo) Bentancur to suspension, none of the injured are back yet. We've had a bit of an illness problem running through the squad also, so missing some training, but that's okay, we'll be fine.
“Richy (Richarlison) and Mikey (Moore) will be the next two off the order, hopefully next week at some point and then Ben (Davies), Micky van de Van and Romero all at the same time, so the end the last of January, they are scheduled to return.”
SpursA miserable run of injuries has coincided with a number of sub-par performances, leaving him sidelined Europa League hopes for the bottom half of the Premier League table.
They have taken just four points from their last 18 available – losing four of their previous six games – but still possess the division's second most prolific attack – 41 goals have been scored by Postecoglou's side, behind only the league leaders Liverpool.
