Habs prospect Ivan Demidov and girlfriend Katya turned heads at the SKA St. Petersburg Christmas party.


Montreal Canadiens prospect Ivan Demidov and his girlfriend Ekaterina Yakovleva (Katya) attended SKA St. Petersburg's Christmas party on Sunday. Selected in the first round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Demidov currently plays for SKA St. Petersburg.

Ekaterina shared footage from this weekend's event on her Instagram account with carousel photos. In the caption, he wrote:

“New Year's mood 🎄🎰🎁”

In one of the photos, Ivan and Katya posed together in front of a Christmas tree beautifully decorated with lights and red ribbons. Ivan wore a blue suit with a light blue shirt and tie, while Katya stunned in an elegant black dress.

In another photo, Katya showed off a black top with silver buckle details, paired with sleek black pants and a small clutch. He also posted a group shot of the SKA players with their other partners, all dressed in stylish black.

Another click captured Ivan and Katya dancing together. Ivan took off his shirt and smiled at the camera, holding hands with Katya. In the last slide, Katya is standing next to her friend.


Ivan Demidov received a sweet birthday greeting from his girlfriend Katya

Ivan Demidov celebrated his 18th birthday on December 10. On this occasion, the young hockey star received heartfelt words from his lover and elder brother Semyon Demidov.

Katya shared an intimate photo of the couple in her Instagram stories sweet birthday wish. The photo shows them sitting close to each other by the window. Ekaterina commented on the photo:

“Happy birthday @i.demidov ❤️ I love you” translates to “Happy birthday @i.demidov ❤️ I love you”

Ivan's brother Semyon also posted a nostalgic childhood photo of the two brothers on Instagram. The photo shows them squatting outside as children, Semyon writing in Russian:

“Happy Birthday Little Brother 🎉❤️” translates as “Happy Birthday Little Brother 🎉❤️”.

Selected fifth overall by the Canadiens in the 2024 NHL Draft, Demidov has strong scoring and playmaking abilities. He debuted at just 16 years old with SKA St. Petersburg in 2022 and has already earned honors such as KHL Rookie of the Month and a spot on the KHL All-Rookie Team this season.

The Canadians There are plans to bring Demidov to North America after his current season with SKA. While he is under contract through the 2024-25 season, Demidov said he intends to join the team after his KHL contract expires. Canadiens officials, including GM Kent Hughes, are expected to do so visit it in the coming months to monitor its progress.
