Australia registered a 3-1 dominance Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series success India and a a six-wicket win in the last Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The win was Australia's first win in the BGT since 2015, breaking India's record in the prestigious competition. The hosts provided a technical all-rounder, with excellent batting skills and clinical play that overwhelmed the visitors. India's inability to withstand Australia's relentless pressure highlighted the difference in execution and turnover between the two sides.
India's first innings fell under the skill of Scott Boland
India's batting woes started early as they were bowled out for a paltry 185 in their first match. Scott Boland he led the Australian attack with figures of 4/31, producing pace and bounce to trouble the Indian batsmen throughout. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins he helped him well, taking three and two wickets respectively. The higher law failed to provide a solid foundation, and Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli fall cheap. Rishabh Pant he provided resistance with a convincing 40 off 98 balls, but a lack of consistency meant that India could not capitalize on their early start. The drop-off plan was disrupted by the constant pressure, leaving India on the left as Australia dominated the game early on.
India gets a limited future because of its boldness
In reply, Australia managed 181, failing to take the lead but coming close thanks to a knock from It's Webster. Webster top scored with 57 off 105 balls, showing great skill against the Indian bowler. Steve Smith he added the required 33 to set up the innings, but the rest fell short Mohammed Siraj (3/51) is Prasidh Krishna (3/42), who played straight and smart. Nitish Kumar Reddy and inducted by two wickets, applying pressure between the overs.

Rishabh Pant's heroics in vain as Boland shines again
India's second innings looked similar to the first, with the top order being smashed by Boland. Boland's stunning 6/41 decimated the Indian batting line-up, as he was dismissed for just 157 minutes. Rishabh Pant he fought hard, smashing a 33-ball 61 with six boundaries and sixes. His bold stroke play raised hopes of the tournament, but a lack of support from the other end kept India from setting a tough target. The Australian bowlers, especially Boland, took advantage of the situation, leaving the Indian batsmen looking for answers.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy returns to Australia
Chasing 162, Australia started strongly, and Usman Khawaja leading a trial. Khawaja's masterful 41 off 45 balls, along with Travis Head's unbeaten 34, steadied the innings after a brilliant performance by Krishna. Although Krishna had impressive figures of 3/65, Australia's aggressive approach kept them on track. A crucial partnership at a crucial time helped the hosts through the trouble, and by the end of tea on Day 3, they had won by six wickets in hand. With a boost in their favor when Head was joined by Webster (39 not out), Australia ended the match with a series, leaving India to dwell on missed opportunities and repeated strikes.

India lost the Border Gavaskar Trophy BGT to Australia by 1-3.
Had it not been for Jasprit Bumrah (and Yashasvi Jaiswal to some extent), they would have lost the series 0-5. pic.twitter.com/FeBNfDdotU

Indian batsmen did not score enough runs to compete against Australia and 3-1 is a good result. Many problems to solve. Big batsmen's form, more reliance on Bumrahโฆโฆ

What an amazing list. This can happen if you have two major opposition parties. Australia is the best part of this list!! Important times. Shame it's over

Well directed by Pat Cummins!
It did well to force the ball into the MCG to take the lead when it was 1-1 and at the SCG too, it provided good support for Boland who did things for Boland.
This was one list of Australian players who did not win and now they tick the box again.
Cliche but…
