In a lively meeting at The Gabba, Brisbane heat winner Sydney Thunder and five wickets in 25 matches a Big Bash League 2024-25. An impressive knock Max Bryant and a good bowling performance resulted in a crucial win for the Heat as they managed to chase down a target of 174 with seven balls to spare.
David Warner shines amid Sydney Thunder's woes
After winning the toss and electing to toss, Brisbane Heat were successful with the ball, restricting Sydney Thunder to 173/8 in their 20 overs. Spencer Johnson was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/39 in his four overs. Michael Neser and Matthew Kuhnemann they supported him well, picking up two wickets each. Sydney Thunder's innings was set up by the skipper David Warner, who smashed 50 off 36 balls with seven boundaries. Lockie Ferguson he featured with figures of 2/21, but his efforts were not enough to disrupt Brisbane's chase. Bryant's impressive strike earned him the Player of the Match award, well-deserved recognition for his heroics under pressure.
