Chelsea are reportedly interested in re-signing former youth team goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as they look for a new goalkeeper this season. The Polish goalkeeper is currently playing for the Ligue 1 representative “Nice”.
Bulka played for Chelsea's youth team between 2016 and 2019 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He joined the latter club in 2022 after several seasons on loan at Cartagena, Châteauroux and Nice. Bulka replaced Kasper Schmeichel and became Nice's number one goalkeeper last season. In 70 games for Nice between the competitions, the Pole kept 25 clean sheets.
According to a report by journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea Interested in re-signing Marcin Bulka this summer. Phillips wrote on the Substack page:
“You will recall an article on this site back in November from our own SPTC sources stating that Chelsea were interested in re-signing former goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. He remains on our list of potential new goalkeepers as the club continues to look for new stoppers.”
Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen are currently playing as goalkeepers in the “Blues” team. Sanchez kept 4 clean sheets in 17 games this season, while Jorgensen kept the same number of clean sheets in 11 matches.
If they sign Bulka, the Pole will not be able to immediately overtake Sanchez and Jorgensen. However, he could be a good backup and potential starter in the future.

However, Delap has been on the Blues' radar for some time as coach Enzo Maresca likes the player. Maresca managed Delap for one year while coaching Manchester City U-23 team (2019-20). The two won the PL2 title together. The 21-year-old footballer has now become one of the most promising young strikers in the Premier League. In the competition, he scored six goals and provided one assist in 18 appearances for Ipswich Town.
