The ICC said in a press release on Tuesday: “Pakistan have been fined 25% of their match fee and penalized five ICC World Test Championship points for maintaining a slow rate over South Africa in the second Test at the Cape Town”.
According to ICC regulations, TEAMS they are fined five percent of their match fee for each over they fail to complete in the allotted time. In addition, Pakistan lost five World Test Championship points for this offence, based on the playing conditions.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood has accepted the penalty and admitted the offence, so there is no need for a formal hearing. The charge was raised by on-field umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Nitin Menon, along with third umpire Alex Wharf and fourth umpire Stephen Harris.

South Africa whitewash Pakistan in all formats
