Man Utd receive first official offer for Marcus Rashford

AC Milan have made a formal offer to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on loan this month, according to a report.

Rashford is available for tRANSFER this month but, given the high cost of a permanent sale, it is attracting more loan interest from a variety of parties across Europe.

Athletics Rashford's agents went to Milan on Tuesday for talks with the Serie A side, and it was soon followed by Gianluca Di MarzioS ' claim that Milan has submitted an official offer.

Milan have reportedly offered to take Rashford on an initial loan as part of a deal that would give them the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season – a format that United could be tempted away from at the right price.

The main stumbling block in negotiations is Rashford's high wages, believed to be in excess of £300,000-a-week. Such a figure is unattainable for Milan, who would need it united agree to cover a substantial portion as part of any settlement.

That is likely to be the case with other suitors, including Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, who are thought to be looking for a direct loan move for Rashford without a permanent transfer clause.

Rashford may not be the only striker to leave United this month as a winger Antony is withdrawing his loan interest. Greek side Olympiacos are said to be willing to offer him a platform to reignite his stalled career, while Real Betis have been tipped to try and sign the Brazilian following the sale of Assane Diao to Como.
