Borussia Dortmund boss Nouris Sahin has warned that anything can happen in the January transfer window, but the club cannot afford to get carried away with reports of Manchester United's Marcus Rashford being linked with a loan move.
Rashford has expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford for a new challenge after a disastrous 18 months and has struggled to reach top form for various off-field incidents.
Rashford has reportedly embarked on a European tour, including stops at AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, to discuss a potential transfer.
Sahin was cautious about the move.
Sahin, who sit sixth in the Bundesliga after this Friday's winter break against champions Leverkusen, said any incoming move had to be right for the club.
Asked about the window, he said, “Anything can happen. Winter is not as easy as summer. We are prepared to do something, but only if it makes us better. We will not escape.”

Rashford can be very expensive.
A deal for Rashford won't come cheap, with reports suggesting that a loan move would see him relinquish responsibility for the majority of the striker's £325,000-a-week wages.
This could prove to be a major stumbling block for Dortmund, who will model the signing of promising young players and mold them into the fine article.
Dortmund lost the first half of the season, winning only 1 of 5 matches.
But Sahin believes the visit of Xabi Alonso's players will bring out the best in his players.
“The win is very important for the table,” he added. “We are playing against a top opponent. I have always performed well against these teams so far. I want to go into the new year with a good game.”
The hosts will be without Waldemar Anton and Almugera Kabar injured, along with Niklas Sule and Pascal Gross injured.
