“When my mouth moves, your mouth closes”


Chael Sonnen lectured Daniel Cormier about not interrupting him during a podcast.

After their fighting careers, Sonnen and Cormier took similar paths to creating MMA content on social media. Legendary past UFC the fighters have their own YouTube channels and work together on an ESPN show of the same name Good Boy / Bad Boy.

Sonnen and Cormier recently released a video for their 2025 MMA predictions. Sonnen ended the episode by asking Cormier not to interrupt him:

“Well, I've been a pretty good partner and definitely a pretty good friend this year. Got any favors I've saved? Can I get a favor from you when I go on this break? I want you to do something real. Deep dive, but I'm asking you I want you to really learn what cutting is and then try to make a commitment to do it a little less.

Sonnen continued by saying:

“When my mouth moves, yours shuts. That's how it works. The bad guy and the other guy. If you enjoy being the other guy, listen a little more than you talk.”

Chael Sonnen reveals Hulk Hogan's humility as he turns Colby Covington

On December 14, 2024, the final UFC event of the year took place in Tampa, Florida. In main eventJoaquin Buckley cemented his status as a heavyweight contender with a third-round TKO (doctor's stoppage). Colby Covington.

One of the biggest successes of the match was Covington leaving the field. He went with the former interim UFC champion Hulk Hogan Chael Sonnen, which has caused great interest among fans.

During an episode Good Boy / Bad BoySonnen revealed Hogan's humbleness backstage before the show:

“That was the cool thing, it was Hulk Hogan… The first thing Colby said to him was, 'When the camera rolled, Hulk, I wanted you with the American flag… I'm coming after you.' And Hulk cut him off and said: “Colby, I'm a guest in your house, you go first, I'm behind you. And that was his attitude from the beginning, and he was very welcome in the locker room.”

Colby Covington's loss to Joaquin Buckley was his only fight in 2023. The 36-year-old plans to return in 2025 and potentially secure his first UFC win since defeating Jorge Masvidal via unanimous decision in March 2022.
