With the fourth round of the competition taking place next weekend, 90 min breaks down everything you need to know…
Manchester United took the crown in 2024 after a 4-0 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur was enough to crown them winners under the Wembley Stadium arch. The win marked United's first piece of silverware since the club's inception in 2018.
Arsenal have long been the historic giants of the FA Cup, winning the competition a total of 14 times. Despite the club's domestic dominance, the last time the Gunners won silverware was nine years ago in the 2015/16 season when they beat Chelsea 1-0.
Chelsea and Manchester City have shared the domestic glory since Arsenal's dominance began to wane. The Cityzens have taken the gold medal in three seasons since then, with Chelsea winning it on four occasions.
The first legs of the upcoming fourth round will take place on Saturday 11 January between Brighton & Hove Albion and Durham, as well as Manchester United against West Bromwich Albion. The other matches will take place on Sunday, January 12.
