Emery praised the spirit of Aston Villa's players after their FA Cup win.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery was happy to see his players play against West Ham in the FA Cup.

Villa went 1-0 down early through Lucas Paqueta's strike, but showed resilience in the second half.

Amadou Onana equalized in the 71st minute before Morgan Rogers scored the winner five minutes later.

Overall, the Spain coach was pleased but spoke of improvement after conceding early again.

He said, “I'm happy. But it was not an easy goal and I tried to set a goal, but I did it again early.

“But we responded well. More or less opportunities were not missed again. The players showed a desire to do something in the tournament.

“We conceded a lot of goals, but our most important goal is to win.

“Here to be strong, I try to have a fortress. We've been doing it all season. We responded well and more or less controlled the game.

“It's very important which team we face after today. But now we're focused on Because we are participating in 3 competitions, the Champions League, Premier League Because we want to win something in the FA Cup as well.”

Tournament winner Morgan Rogers expressed his intention in his post-match interview.

The club believe they can win the prestigious trophy and end their drought.

“A little faith,” said Roger. We were a little more patient. There is more forward thinking.

“In the final third we created chances and that was our goals.

“We know we can come back against anybody. We'll be looking into fixing the games launch, but we're happy to get them done.

“Why can't we win? Anything can happen in the cup. You don't know who's going to draw, where they're going to play.”
