“I'm disappointed and disappointed”

“Arsenal” star footballer Riccardo Calafiori expressed his disappointment after the 1:1 draw. Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. The Seagulls came from behind to earn a point in their Premier League clash at the Amex Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's team took the lead in the 16th minute with a wonderful goal by Ethan Nwaneri. However, in the 60th minute, William Saliba was adjudged to have fouled Joao Pedro in the penalty area. The Brazilian central striker executed the penalty accurately. After that, Brighton created numerous chances but couldn't find the winner.

After the game, Kalafiori shared his thoughts on the game (via Tribal Football):

“You can see from my expression that I was frustrated and disappointed. We could have done better for sure. The good thing is that we have another game in two or three days and we are already thinking about it.

“The first 25 minutes was how “Arsenal” should play, then we couldn't control the game. From tomorrow we will forget about this game and think about the next game. The season is very long.”

Gunners remained in second place Premier League 5 points behind Liverpool, who played two less games in the tournament table.

Mikel Arteta in the January transfer window after Arsenal's draw with Brighton

The Gunners are already without Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling through injury and look set to lose Ethan Nwaneri on Saturday. Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the 17-year-old has some muscle problems which have led to him being substituted off and on.

After the game against Brighton, Mikel Arteta was asked if Arsenal should sign new players in the ongoing transfer window. Answered (via Arsenal.com):

“Obviously, we can't make a decision based on one performance on a day with a lot of circumstances – not only the players lost, but the bottom to take Ethan out, with Martin coming in for a lot of limited time. Hopefully, we'll be in a better position on Tuesday, we'll see.”

The Gunners are currently active in all four competitions. They are second and third in the Premier League UEFA Champions League tournament table. They next face Newcastle United at home in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg on January 7. Then on January 12, they will host “Manchester United” in the third round of the English Cup.
