New West Ham boss Graham Porter is relying on the support of the fans to take charge of his first home game.
The Hammers face high-flying Fulham and are without several key players, including Nicklaus Fulkrock and Michail Antonio.
But the former Chelsea and Brighton boss believes that with the right atmosphere, the London ground can be difficult for any team to come by.
In his press conference, Potter said: “The most important thing is that the fans are behind the team, so I have no doubts about them. It's a tough place to come as an away manager and you need to connect with the fans and the fans.
“We are in the early stages but hopefully the results and performance will follow us.
“I can't wait for the first home game tomorrow night.

“I think the supporters know about our trip. The result is the most important; Finally.
“We want to play the right way, but the points are useful. It would be great to have both.
The reaction and approach of the players is really good. They are eager to try to connect with each other. It's been a tough time and we want to build together as a team.
“They just stick with it.”
Potter's first game was Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa.
The east Londoners took a 1-0 lead through Lucas Parker but had a short break in the second half.
A win over Fulham would move them clear of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table at least.
But the Hammers will have to do it without key faces.
Asked if he was tempted to enter the transfer market this month, Potter said: “There is a logical reason to do something[in this transfer window]. But it's not always that simple. I don't want to do anything for the sake of this very complicated window.
“There are players coming back so my focus is on how to make the team the best it can be.
“Sometimes in situations like this you have to be creative; You have to look at the skills of your players.”
