Player ratings as Jesus hat-trick seals Carabao Cup progress

Arsenal came from behind in style against Crystal Palace in Carabao Cup quarter-finals at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Palace took a surprise early lead to heap further misery on the struggling Gunners when Jean-Philippe Mateta capitalized on a mistake by Jakub Kiwior and then beat the defender to finish.

Arsenal were clearly disappointing in the first half but looked a different team after the interval, in no small part to the introduction of Martin Odegaard and William Saliba.

They were back on level terms when Gabriel Jesus scored his first goal at the Emirates Stadium since last December, before the same player remarkably scored a second and a third.

Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah pulled one off palace to potentially set up a podium finish, but Mikel Arteta's side held on to win.
