The PSL 2025 draft took place on Monday (January 13) and saw some of the biggest names in the game being picked. A total of 116 players from the 10 countries were picked by the six Pakistan Super League franchises at Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort.
The 10th edition of the league, PSL 2025, is all set to be played between April 8 and May 19. The tournament will see players David Warner, Kane Williamson, Alzarri Joseph and Daryl Mitchell make their league debuts after being picked. of franchises in Monday's league draft.
Daryl Mitchell and David Warner have been picked by Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings in PSL 2025
Daryl Mitchell was the first choice as he was snapped up by Lahore Qalandars is ready to feature for the team later this year. His all-round skills will make him a great asset for the team in the tournament as they would be keen to win the next edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Former Australian national cricket team player David Warner will play for Karachi Kings. The franchise used the second pick in the first round on platinum and raked in the dough. With the wealth of experience under his belt, 12,727 T20 runs in 392 T20 matches, he could be a game changer for the franchise in PSL 2025.
Kane Williamson remains unsold in the Platinum category, is picked by Karachi Kings in PSL 2025 extra
In what was the biggest shock, Kane Williamson first went unsold in the Platinum category. However, he was later picked by Karachi Kings in the extra frame. He too will be keen to make a mark in the league and is expected to make his debut in PSL 2025.
West Indies national cricket team pacer Alzarri Joseph has been picked by Peshawar Zalmi. Notably, all these players went unsold in the IPL auction. They will have a great platform to prove their mettle in PSL 2025.
